5 Orthopedic Practices Expanding, Merging

Here are five orthopedic practices that are expanding or merging.

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute, founded by board-certified orthopedic surgeon Michael Boothby, MD, broke ground on a two-story, 20,000-square-foot facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

Phoenix-based Valley Orthopedics announced four of its physicians — Amon Ferry, MD, Michael Weng, MD, Issada Thongtrangan, MD, and Christina Khoury, MD — will provide orthopedic and spine care at its new location in Paradise Valley, Ariz.

University Healthcare Physicians and University Healthcare Jefferson Medical Center have broken ground on a $3.4 million, 11,200-square-foot building in Charles Town, W. Va., which will house University Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and WVU Urgent Care.

Arizona Bone & Joint Specialists announced it will be joining OrthoArizona, which has a 36-practice network with locations throughout the state.

Dickson (Tenn.) Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is moving to a new, expanded location, slated to open in September.
