5 Hospitals & Healthcare Providers Expanding Orthopedics Programs

As a part of a planned expansion, University Medical Center in Lafayette, La., will open an orthopedic clinic. The clinic is expected on open on July 1, after Lafayette (La.) General Medical Center takes over UMC.

Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite, Nev., has added board-certified orthopedic surgeons Joseph Yu, MD, and Roddy McGee, DO, as independent members of its medical staff.

Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, Minn., recently opened a $5.6 million, 21,385-square-foot orthopedic center. The center houses the medical center’s orthopedics department, hand therapy department, sports medicine department and St. Croix Orthopedics.

Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara, Calif., has added William Dunbar, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, to its orthopedics department.

Memorial Hospital in Abilene, Kan., has begun offering patients orthopedic and sports medicine care at its outreach clinic. Benedict Figuerres, MD, of Tallgrass Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Topeka, Kan., provides the care at the hospital’s clinic.
