4 sports medicine physicians on the move in December

Here are four sports medicine physicians who joined new practices or took on new positions in December:

Sara Raiser, MD, joined the sports medicine team at Emory Johns Creek (Ga.) Hospital and the Emory Sports Medicine Complex in Brookhaven, Ga.

New York City-based Rothman Orthopaedics New York added neurosurgeon Michael Smith, MD, and orthopedic spine surgeon Grigoriy Arutyunyan, MD, to its staff.

Joseph Straight, MD, director of primary care sports medicine at Newark, Del.-based First State Orthopaedics, was elected the 176th president of the Medical Society of Delaware, Delaware State News reports.

Dale Culpepper, MD, joined Asheville (N.C.) Orthopaedic Associates, The McDowell News reports.
