Mr. Waldren made his recommendations at the Hospital Cloud Forum put on by the Information Management Network on April 16 in New York City.
Mr. Waldren also laid out the following four recommendations:
1. Have no less than two different forms of connectivity.
2. Store some portion of recent health information in a local cache.
3. In the morning, at least store the data needed for that day locally so that physicians have access to it.
4. Develop a contingency plan beforehand.

Steven Waldren, senior healthcare IT strategist for the American
Academy of Family Physicians and co-founder of New Health Networks, recently
shared four recommendations for healthcare organizations that use cloud-based
systems on how to deal with gaps in network reliability, according to an EHR
Intelligence report.
