Here are three things to know:
1. Surgeons using the xvision navigation system can preset key parameters, such as trajectory projections, in the customizable user interface.
2. Augmedics designed the xvision system to project a 3D image of the patient’s anatomy directly onto the surgeon’s retina in real-time. The system is intended to reduce X-ray exposure and facilitate minimally invasive spine procedures.
3. Augmedics recently began its first-in-human clinical trial of the xvision system’s pedicle screw placement accuracy during spinal fusion.
