Here are three things to know:

1. This is the 26th iFuse exclusive policy established by a U.S. commercial payer; 44 of the 65 largest U.S. private payers now cover the system for MIS SI joint fusion.

2. The coverage provides access to the iFuse system for more than 700,000 BCBS of Arizona plan members.

3. The triangular-shaped titanium implants are designed to minimize joint movement and rotation. The system’s porous surface is intended to encourage bony on-growth and in-growth, and its rigid titanium construction and implant geometry are designed to stabilize and fuse the SI joint.
