2012 CPT Coding Updates for Interventional Pain Management

The American Medical Association has released the 2012 CPT coding changes for interventional pain management, according to an American Society of International Pain Physicians news release.

The coding changes include new codes for bundling radiofrequency with fluoroscopy; bundling discography, epidural and fluoroscopy for disc decompression; and bundling fluoroscopy for sacroiliac joint procedures.
