$10M expansion project allows sports medicine center to shift towards outpatient services

As part of a $10 million expansion project, Preston, Idaho-based Franklin County Medical Center is remodeling a store in Preston into a FCMC Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center, cachevalleydaily.com reports.

Here are four things to know:

1. FCMC’s addition encompasses nearly 15,000-square-feet. FCMC will be able to accommodate more visiting specialists from outside Preston when the addition is complete.

2. According to FCMC marketing team member Tracy Jensen, the medical industry’s future lies in more outpatient services.

3. FCMC hopes the new outpatient facility will bring in local athletes from surrounding communities to receive treatment.

4. The medical center’s growth has made it Preston’s top employer. FCMC also leased other buildings for its public relations andmarketing and developmental disabilities services.
