TriMed introduced Exiom's Xkelet casts and product line to the U.S. marketplace.

Four things to know:

1. The custom-made casts are designed from iPad 3D scans and can be worn in the shower for optimal hygiene.

2. They feature an open lattice design that is lightweight and breathable, so the patient's skin receives proper air circulation.

3. The technology aims to eradicate the loss of muscle tone and recovery associated with traditional plaster casts.

4. Exiom is the exclusive U.S. dealer for Xkelet's products. Xkelet, a Spanish startup, won the Red Dot Award for the orthosis system in 2016.
