Surgeons at hospitals across the U.S. completed the first cases using NuVasive's Cohere XLIF.

What you should know:

1. Cohere XLIF is a lateral porous PEEK implant for lateral lumbar interbody fusion and lateral single-position surgery.

2. The Cohere XLIF implant is part of a multicenter study seeking to quantify the impact these technologies have on lateral lumbar interbody fusion.

3. Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center's Frank Phillips, MD, and Charlotte (N.C.) Orthopedic Hospital's Anthony Kwon, MD, spoke highly of the Cohere XLIF implant.

4. NuVasive is incorporating the implant into its Interbody portfolio.
