Ulrich Medical USA launches vertebral body replacement device Solidity

Ulrich Medical USA released its new generation vertebral body replacement device Solidity.

Four details:

1. Designed for spine reconstruction surgery, the Solidity implant features a main center piece with 625 unique end cap configurations.

2. The implant's end caps are designed to be replaced or exchanged after a construct has been assembled, providing surgeons the ability to revise a construct to fit patient anatomy.

3. Neurosurgeon Blake Berman, DO, performed the first Solidity implantation case on Dec. 28, 2018.

4. Dr. Berman is medical director of the spine program at the Institute of Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, Calif.
