SpineVision launches new 3D-printed TLIF device: 4 things to know

Surface Technology

SpineVision received FDA clearance and CE mark approval for its titanium 3D laser-printed Hexanium Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion cage.

Here are four things to know:

1. The Hexanium TLIF cage features a roughened titanium surface designed for fast osseointegration along with a honeycomb-like structure with large windows for maximizing bone in-growth and on-growth from endplate to endplate.

2. The cage is designed to reduce the risk of disc height subsidence in the postoperative period.

3. According to SpineVision CEO Arnaud Brisard, the Hexanium TLIF is the first of a range of SpineVision's 3D-printed implants.

4. SpineVision will introduce the cage at EuroSpine 2018 in Barcelona, Spain, from Sept. 19 -21, and the North American Spine Society 2018 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles from Sept. 26-29.
