Captiva Spine receives FDA clearance for 3D-printed titanium lumbar cages: 4 notes

Captiva Spine earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its TirboLOX-L 3D-Printed Titanium Lumbar Cages.

Here are four things to know:

1. TirboLOX-L cages are titanium alloy interbody fusion devices with a dual layer organic lattice structure.

2. The lattice structure features a micro-rough surface topography, interconnected dual porosity and open architecture.

3. The open architecture is designed to reduce radiographic presence for clear imaging. The devices' coefficient of friction is designed to create immediate bidirectional fixation.

4. Captiva Spine incorporated its proprietary Pivotec Pivoting TLIF Cage into TirboLOX. Pivotec is designed to address the difficulties of controlling cage insertion and angle manipulation intraoperatively and is now available in a range of porous 3D-printed titanium implants.
