CoreLink 3D-printed device exceeds 5,000 implants — 3 insights

Surface Technology

Spine developer CoreLink recently surpassed 5,000 implants with its 3D-printed Mimetic Metal technology.

Three insights:

1. Mimetic Metal merges a lattice framework and inner trabecular pores to mirror the structural, functional and physiological properties of bone.

2. The device's design creates anisotropic stiffness to aid in load transfer, which promotes the adaptation of bone density to functional forces on the bone.

3. Mimetic Metal features an open-pore design that facilitates blood flow through the implant.
