Stratasys launches 3D Printer for orthopedic surgical training

Surface Technology

Stratasys introduced its J750 Digital Anatomy 3D Printer to help improve orthopedic surgical preparedness and training, reports Thomas Net.

Three things to know:

1. The 3D printer aims to mimic the feel, responsiveness and biomechanics of the human anatomy in medical models.

2. The device recreates actual tissue response and enables users to focus on specific pathologies.

3. Stratasys also launched three new materials — BoneMatrix, GelMatrix and TissueMatrix — to develop orthopedic, vascular and cardiac 3D-printing applications.
