Flexible fixation & 3D printing drive orthopedic trauma market: 3 developments

Flexible fixation and 3D-printing technology are driving the orthopedic trauma market, according to a Market Research Blog report.

Three developments in this space:

1. Globus Medical expanded its orthopedic trauma device portfolio with the Anthem Proximal Humerus Fracture System and the Anthem Ankle Fracture System. The new products are designed to streamline procedures and minimize operative time. 

2. Panther Orthopedics released its FDA-approved PUMA system for syndesmotic fixation. 

3. X-Bolt Orthopaedics announced the completion of a year-long follow-up of its 1,000th patient in its trial of the X-Bolt hip fracture device. The trial is one of the largest hip fracture fixation clinical trials.
