NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told all 32 franchises to close club facilities by 6 p.m. local time March 25, according to USA Today.

Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, NFL facilities were ordered to close until at least April 8, when the NFL will reassess if it is safe to reopen them.

The news comes after the NFL Physicians Society halted medical tests and physicals until the health crisis caused by COVID-19 subsides.

In a March 23 letter to the NFL, Anthony Casolaro, MD, co-head physician for the Washington Redskins and president of the NFLPS, said "medical resources should focus on those who are ill or in need of care."
