Dr. Neal ElAttrache operates on pro boxer Devin Haney — 5 things to know

Neal S. ElAttrache, MD, performed surgery on the injured right shoulder of WBC Lightweight World Champion Devin "The Dream" Haney, 15Rounds.com reports.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. Haney suffered a microscopic tear of his right labrum during a Nov. 9 fight against Alfredo Santiago.

2. Dr. ElAttrache operated on Mr. Haney in early December in Los Angeles.

3. Mr. Haney is now recovering and undergoing rehabilitation. He is expected to be out for at least six months.

4. Dr. ElAttrache is the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation board chairman and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe Sports Medicine Fellowship.

5. He is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams, as well as an orthopedic consultant to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and PGA Tour.
