Eight orthopedic surgeons recently treated professional athletes:

David Altchek, MD, performed arthroscopic surgery on the right shoulder of Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman.

Robert Anderson, MD, performed arthroscopic surgery on Cleveland Indians catcher Roberto Perez.

Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez visited James Andrews, MD, to receive a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right shoulder.

Jason Folk, MD, and Misty Suri, MD, performed arthroscopic surgery on the right knee of New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson.

Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed Tommy John surgery on New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks' right elbow Oct. 30.

Glen Ross, MD, performed surgery on New York Jets offensive guard Kelechi Osemele's right shoulder, despite the team not approving the procedure.

Steve Shin, MD, surgically repaired the hand of Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry.
