New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery Sports Medicine Institute is opening a new facility in west Manhattan.
Three insights:
1. The 66,000-square-foot facility will include exam rooms, diagnostic imaging, outpatient ORs, sports performance and a rehabilitation center among other features.
2. The sports performance and rehabilitation center will feature a golf simulator, multipurpose sports turf, hydrotherapy and recovery rooms, as well as strength and aerobic machines.
3. HSS currently has facilities on Manhattan's Upper East Side, Westchester, N.Y., Long Island, N.Y., as well as Paramus, N.J., and Stamford, Conn. Future locations are planned in Brooklyn, N.Y., and West Palm Beach, Fla.
