Dallas-based Steward Health Care acquired the naming rights for the Wellesley (Mass.) Sports Center, which will provide sports medicine and wellness services, reports The Boston Globe.

Three insights:

1. The sports center — due to open in August — will be anointed Boston Sports Institute, a Steward Family Facility by the health system.

2. The sports medicine initiative is an extension of services provided at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, Mass.

3. Nearly 7,000 square feet of the 130,000-square-foot space will be dedicated to sports medicine and wellness.
