Six orthopedic surgeons treated professional athletes in May 2019:

Marty Isbell, MD, surgically repaired the left shoulder of Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk.

Robert Anderson, MD, completed surgery on Milwaukee Bucks center Pau Gasol to repair a navicular stress fracture in his left foot.

Edwin Su, MD, successfully completed hip resurfacing surgery on Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Kesler on May 9 in New York.

Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed Tommy John surgery on White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon.

Christopher Ahmad, MD, was tapped to perform right shoulder labrum repair surgery on New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City

Michael Joyce, MD, arthroscopically removed a "loose body" in the left knee of Seattle Storm point guard Sue Bird May 30.
