Dr. Robert Anderson treats fractured foot of Milwaukee Bucks' Pau Gasol

Robert Anderson, MD, completed surgery on Milwaukee Bucks center Pau Gasol to repair a navicular stress fracture in his left foot.

The surgery was overseen by Bucks team physician William Raasch, MD, of the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network.

Dr. Anderson is the assistant team physician for the Green Bay Packers and is co-chair of the NFL's musculoskeletal committee, overseeing all orthopedic injuries and research in the league.

He previously served as president of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, as well as president of the medical staff of Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., and is a current member of the Femoroacetabular Impingement managerial board.

Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his residency at Carolinas Medical Center.
