Keith Meister, MD, performed Tommy John surgery on Texas Rangers' 2018 second-round draft pick Owen White, Dallas News reports.

1. Dr. Meister performed the procedure May 1, on Mr. White.

2. Mr. White will miss the entire 2019 season and a portion of the 2020 season as he recovers.

3. Dr. Meister performed the procedure at TMI Sports Medicine's surgery center in Mansfield, Texas.

4. Dr. Meister is the head team physician for the Texas Rangers and director of Arlington, Texas-based TMI Sports Medicine. He previously served as the head team physician for the Dallas Stars and USA Hockey.
