Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic's Diane Dahm, MD, performed knee surgery April 1 on a forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Star Tribune reports.

What you should know:

2. The operation involved debridement and the removal of loose bodies from the knee.

3. It is unclear when Mr. Covington will be able to return to the court. As of April 1, he had missed 40 consecutive basketball games.
