F. Harlan Selesnick, MD, performed surgery on Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic's right knee Dec. 19, Miami Herald reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Mr. Dragic had been experiencing stiffness and swelling in his right knee since November.

2. The 32-year-old point guard is expected to remain in recovery for at least two months the Heat said, according to the report.

3. Dr. Selesnick serves as team physician for the Heat. He is an orthopedic surgeon at Coral Gables-based Baptist Health South Florida's Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute.

4. With expertise in sports medicine, Dr. Selesnick's additional specialties include arthroscopy, fractures and knee ligament repair and reconstruction.
