Dr. Carole Vetter examines Milwaukee Bucks John Henson's wrist: 5 notes

Carole Vetter, MD, examined Milwaukee Bucks' center John Henson's left wrist Nov. 15, NBA.com reports.

Here's what you should know:

1.Dr. Vetter diagnosed Mr. Henson with a torn left wrist ligament and confirmed the 27-year-old center will require surgery.

2. Mr. Henson sustained the injury during the team's Nov. 6 game, but he continued to play in the Bucks' next three games before experiencing additional discomfort Nov. 14.

3.The team has not announced when Mr. Henson will undergo surgery.

4. Dr. Vetter is a team physician for the Milwaukee Bucks and U.S. Speedskating.

5. A board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in sports medicine, Dr. Vetter is an orthopedic professor in Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin's sports medicine division.
