Minneapolis-based Twin Cities Orthopedics is set to open two new sports medicine and orthopedic centers this year in partnership with the Minnesota Vikings, according to Sun This Week.

Here are five insights:

1. The main 76,000-square-foot building will offer patients physical therapy, orthopedic surgery and urgent care services. Additionally, the center will house an orthopedic clinic and outpatient services.

2. The second 22,000-square-foot sports medicine center will be equipped with brain health, vision and reaction training, muscle and tendon services, sport psychology and regenerative medicine.

3. Vikings players will also be able to use a turf field, biomechanics labs, sports nutrition offices and a concussion lab.

4. Twin Cities Orthopedics is also installing virtual-reality programing to improve athlete vision and perception in high-speed environments.

5. The Minnesota Vikings hopes the partnership will allow athletes to undergo MRI and CT scans more quickly following injuries.
