William Meyers, MD, completed a sports hernia surgery on New Orleans Pelicans' point guard Rajon Rondo.

1. Mr. Rondo was injured during a preseason game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team expects he will be out between four and six weeks.


2. Dr. Myers is a surgeon at and the founder of Philadelphia-based Vincera Institute.


3. Dr. Myers worked with the U.S. National Soccer Team, the Miami Dolphins and various Olympic athletes. He has evaluated athletes from nearly every sport at every level of competition.


4. Dr. Myers has authored and co-authored more than 300 medical publications as well as several textbook chapters.
