Vail, Colo.,-based Steadman Philippon Research Institute held its third annual Vail Scientific Summit.
Here are three things to know:
1. This year more than 60 physicians, scientists, surgeons and researchers in the regenerative medicine field spoke and presented at the Summit.
2. In 2016, the event hosted 46 speakers, up from around 30 speakers in 2015.
3. The five keynote speakers at the Summit included:
• James Kirkland, MD, director of the Robert and Arlene Kodod Center on Aging at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
• Holger Eltzsching, MD, department of anesthesiology chairman at the McGovern Medical School in Houston.
• Paul Robbins, professor of molecular medicine at The Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, Fla.
• Giuseppe Colasurdo, MD, president of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
• Gang Bao, bioengineering department chair professor at Rice University in Houston.
