Michael P. Bolognesi, MD, will perform a right knee replacement procedure on Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, the Herald Sun reports.

Here's what you should know:


1. Mr. Krzyzewski is experiencing "worsening discomfort" in his right knee. After a surgical consult, he opted for the total knee replacement.


2. This will be Mr. Krzyzewski's sixth surgical procedure since April 2016.


3. Dr. Bolognesi is an orthopedic surgeon at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University. He performed My. Krzyzewski's left knee replacement in April 2016.


4. Dr. Bolognesi earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Duke University.
