Blacksburg-based Virginia Tech Athletics appointed Virginia Tech's football and wrestling team physician Mark Rogers, MD, its new athletics healthcare administrator.
Here's what you should know.
1. Dr. Rogers will oversees the school's healthcare administration and delivery.
2. He will serve as the NCAA's primary point of contact, and will work to ensure the school is compliant with NCAA legislation.
3. Dr. Rogers began working for Virginia Tech in 2007. He will retain his team physician role.
