Baltimore Orioles closing pitcher Zach Britton visited Neal ElAttrache, MD, of Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic after being placed on the disabled list with a left forearm strain, according to ESPN.

Here are six things to know:

1. Mr. Britton was sidelined by the same injury two weeks ago.

2. He came off the disabled list Tues., May 2 and appeared in two games.

3. The left-hander underwent an MRI on Fri., May 5 after feeling discomfort in his pitching arm.

4. The MRI didn't reveal a problem with Mr. Britton's elbow — muscles may be the issue.

5. He was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Sat., May 6.

6. Dr. ElAttrache confirmed the initial diagnosis of a strained muscle in Mr. Britton's forearm and no damage to the pitcher's elbow ligaments, according to ESPN.

Mr. Britton said in the report, "I want to get that issue fixed so I can get back and do what I do well. There's really no other reason for me to be out there. So right now I think the best move is to go see ElAttrache and kind of figure out what's going on."
