Dr. Robert Anderson operates on Atlanta Falcons' Julio Jones — 4 details

Foot specialist Robert Anderson, MD, of Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina performed surgery on Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones' foot again, according to ESPN.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Dr. Anderson removed a bunion from Mr. Jones' left foot on Monday, March 6.

 

2. Dr. Anderson had previously operated on multiple fractures in Mr. Jones' right foot.

 

3. Mr. Jones's recovery timetable is between four months and five months. The team expects he will be ready for training camp in July.

 

4. The injury limited Mr. Jones to 14 games during the 2016 regular season, but he remained successful on the field and played through the Falcons' Super Bowl loss.
