Texas Scottish Rite building pediatric sports medicine focused clinic: 4 thoughts

Dallas-based Texas Scottish Rite broke ground on its new branch facility which will focus on pediatric sports medicine, research and orthopedic care, Community Impact reports.

Here's what you need to know.


1. The new facility will be 345,000 square feet. It will provide patients with ambulatory care services and day surgery options.


2. In initial plans the facility was only 100,000 square feet but the square footage was increased to accommodate more services.


3. The Center for Excellence in Sports Medicine will anchor the center.


4. Several hospital officials and former patients gathered to break ground on Oct. 19, 2016.
