Here are eight orthopedic surgeons treating professional athletes in October.

James Andrews, MD, performed exploratory surgery on the right knee of Kansas City Chiefs' running back Jamaal Charles. Dr. Andrews also performed Tommy John ligament replacement surgery on St. Louis Cardinals' relief pitcher Zach Duke.

 

Joel Boyd, MD, performed arthroscopic surgery on the right knee of Minnesota Wild center Zac Dalpe.

 

Arthur Ting, MD, repaired the torn meniscus on the right knee of Denver Broncos' RB CJ Anderson.

 

Martin O'Malley, MD, inserted a screw into the fifth metatarsal in Toronto Raptor's forward Jared Sullinger's left foot during a surgical procedure to repair an injury.

 

Cleveland Browns' guard Joel Bitonio will be out for the season after having a Lisfranc surgery performed by Robert Anderson, MD.
