The National Women's Hockey League will have NYU Langone as its official healthcare provider for the 2016-2017 season.

Here's what you should know.

 

1. NYU Langone and the league will promote health and wellness through educational programs, research and improved safety practices.

 

2. Andrew Feldman, MD, will serve as the league's medical director.

 

3. NYU Langone and the league will run three community ice hockey programs that stress safe and healthy programs.

 

4. NYU Langone will provide medical coverage during the season's games.

 

5. Laith Jazrawi, MD, Guillem Gonzalez Lomas, MD, Steven Sheskier, MD, Michael Alaia, MD, Dennis Cardone, DO, Warren Young, MD, and the entire sports medicine division will serve in roles with the league.
