Freddie Fu, MD, received the Elizabeth Winston Lanier Award, presented by the Kappa Delta Sorority and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation, at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in New Orleans, according to a Pittsburgh Business Times report.
Dr. Fu received the award for contributions to anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and advancements in patient care.
Dr. Fu is chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is also the head team physician for the University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics.
