Sports Medicine physicians at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush have joined the healthy TXT Football Tips Campaign, according to a Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush news release.
The MOR Sports Medicine department partnered with other sports medicine specialists to deliver the Be Unstoppable Football Tips Campaign, designed to communicate with parents, athletes, coaches and athletic trainers via text message. Launched by Vishal Mehta, MD, as a public service venture to educate the public on injury prevention and motivate young athletes to be "unstoppable" on and off the field, the campaign focuses primarily on concussion education and awareness.
The campaign has initially focused on football, but will also launch programs in hockey, lacrosse and baseball.
