Dr. Neal ElAttrache operates on quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell — 5 things to know

Neal ElAttrache, MD, treated Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, who had a shoulder injury, according to 3DownNation.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. Mitchell was placed on the six-game injured list after leaving a game early with discomfort in his arm, chest and shoulder area.

2. Dr. ElAttrache gave Mr. Mitchell a cortisone shot in his pectoral muscle in late July and performed surgery to help the Canadian athlete return to full health.

3. The injury limited Mr. Mitchell to 11 games in 2019.

4. Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. He is the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation board chairman and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe Sports Medicine Fellowship.

5. Dr. ElAttrache is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and PGA Tour.
