Here are 10 orthopedic surgeons who performed surgery for professional athletes over the past few months.

James Andrews, MD, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., performed UCL repair on Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Nate Jones.

 

Dr. Andrews also performed ACL surgery on Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso.

 

Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed knee surgery on New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia.

 

Tulsa Shocks WNBA guard Riquna Williams received knee surgery at Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates.

 

After suffering a tibia-fibula fracture during a Team USA scrimmage in Las Vegas, Indiana Pacers's Paul George underwent surgery performed by David Silverbert, MD, Joseph Yu, MD, and Riley Williams, MD, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.

 

Co-chief of sports medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery David Altchek, MD, performed season-ending elbow surgery on Atlanta Braves pitcher Gavin Floyd.

 
John M. Crates, MD, preformed ankle surgery on Texas Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland.
 
Chicago-based Anand Vora, MD, performed ankle surgery on Chicago Fire defender Gonzalo Segares to remove a bone spur.

 

Drew Dossett, MD, performed spinal fusion on Texas Rangers pitcher Matt Harrison. He also recently performed spine surgery on Rangers slugger Prince Fielder.
