ZimVie has launched the Virage Navigation System, an occipito-cervico-thoracic spinal fixation system with a 360 degree screw for spinal rod alignment.

The new Virage system is compatible with commercially available navigation systems and compliments ZimVie’s previously released spine portfolio.

Virage creates a 3D map for surgeons, allowing them to track a patient and the instruments’ locations in real-time.

It is specifically made to optimize minimally invasive procedures.

“The Virage Navigation System plays a crucial role in ZimVie’s enabling technology strategy, rounding out our ability to navigate pedicle screws in the entire spine,” Rebecca Whitney, ZimVie’s global spine president, said in an Oct. 11 press release. “Virage also allows us to compete with existing navigation-compatible systems.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
