West Virginia hospital taps Dr. Azedine Medhkour as neurosurgery chief

In November, Azedine Medhkour, MD, became chief of neurosurgery at WVU Medicine’s Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital.

Dr. Medhkour previously held leadership roles at the University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center, including directing the neurosurgical and neurophysiology laboratories, as well as the neurosurgical intensive care unit.

Dr. Medhkour specializes in neurosurgery with a clinical focus on neuro-oncology and spinal cord dysfunction.
