The 11-story, 609,000-square-foot neuroscience research building will house more than 100 research teams with 875 researchers focusing on Alzheimer’s disease, brain tumors, spinal cord injury and psychiatric illnesses, among other neurological conditions.
The building is one of St. Louis’ largest construction projects, ranked by project cost, according to the report. Washington University issued bonds to cover the $616 million cost.
The project is expected to be completed in August 2023.
