Reston, Va.-based VSI launched its Recover Revolution program for spine patients, according to an Oct. 16 news release.

The program was built on VSI’s research into patient-centered approaches to spine surgery recovery. Those findings from outcomes analyses of more than 50,000 spinal fusion cases validated the effectiveness of VSI’s Enhanced Surgical Recovery program.

“Rrecovery is proactively planned before the procedure even begins and supported long after,” VSI spine surgeon Christopher Good, MD, said in the release. “Globally, recovery has been treated as an afterthought, leaving patients anxious and unprepared. At VSI, we take the opposite approach. We design customized recovery plans that start with pre-surgical education and preparation, and we extend that care long after surgery with integrative therapies that accelerate healing and reduce pain. This is what The Recovery Revolution is all about: empowering patients from day one with the tools, support, and confidence they deserve, to achieve the outcomes they desire.”
