UW Medicine names neurosurgery residency program director

Ali Ravanpay, MD, PhD, has been named program director of Seattle-based University of Washington’s neurological surgery residency program, according to a March 18 system LinkedIn post. 

Dr. Ravanpay earned his MD and PhD through UW’s medical scientist training program and was a neurosurgery resident at the school from 2009 to 2016. He has since served as associate program director and worked across multiple UW Medicine sites, including Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital and the VA Puget Sound.
