UT Health Science Center Expands Neurosurgery Residency Program, Adds Spine Fellowship

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine’s plans to expand its neurosurgery department residency program has been approved by The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, according to a San Antonio Business Journalreport.

The school of medicine will expand the program to 17 residents. In addition to this expansion, the Committee on Advanced Specialty Training of the Society of Neurological Surgeons has approved the neurosurgery department’s first spine fellowship, according to the report.
