The designation comes at the request of the National Spine Health Foundation, a nonprofit advocating for patient spine health education.

“October’s Spine Health Awareness Month gives us an opportunity to highlight the critical work our organization does year-round,” Rita Roy, MD, CEO of the NSHF said in a news release.

The NSHF will host a gala Oct. 22 to recognize achievements in spine health leaders nationwide.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
