Physiatrist Dellene Troy, DO, has joined Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics, according to a June 2 news release shared with Becker’s.

Dr. Troy sees patients 12 and older, and she has expertise in neck and back pain, joint pain, sciatica, degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis. A non-surgical physician, she offers options including injections and other conservative care.

“Expanding our access to advanced, non-surgical pain management is an important step in delivering truly comprehensive orthopedic care,” Edward Akelman, MD, president of University Orthopedics, said in the release. “Dr. Troy’s expertise allows us to help more patients find effective relief and, in many cases, avoid surgery while still achieving excellent outcomes.”

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
