Three things to know:
1. The $30 million institute, based in Harlingen, will serve as a multidisciplinary hub for clinical care, research and education, the university said in an Oct. 5 news release.
2. The center has dedicated spaces for brain, spine and nerve disease treatment and research.
3. The 32,000-square-foot facility also houses GE’s Caring Suite MRI machine.
